Any of the following:

• Ciprofloxacin 500 mg PO x1
• Levofloxacin 500 mg PO x1
• Rifampin 600 mg PO BID x4 doses (so, for 2 days)
• Ceftriaxone 250 mg IM x1 -- however, according to the infectious disease consult at UH, ceftriaxone is not preferred because it will not eliminate carrier status in the nasopharynx
